The formation of the Egyptian-Saudi Higher Coordination Council was also announced.
This new council aims to organize and enhance cooperation at the highest levels, overseeing the implementation of joint projects and coordinating economic, trade, and investment policies. Chaired by both the Egyptian president and the Saudi Crown Prince, the council is set to ensure quick decision-making on strategic matters and foster integration in areas such as energy, transportation, and infrastructure, boosting investor confidence and opening new avenues for economic collaboration.
Economically, Egyptian exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 29.4% during the first eight months of 2024, signaling strengthened trade relations. Conversely, Egyptian imports from Saudi Arabia rose by 34.3%, resulting in a total trade exchange valued at $6.5 billion, further enhancing economic integration prospects.
This collaboration between Egypt and Saudi Arabia strengthens the investment landscape, focusing on protecting mutual investments and developing new opportunities in both markets.
